Smoke Dampers
CVS-SAFE4 Smoke dampers which are also known as leakage-rated dampers are tested and labelled under UL555S and are constructed to restrict the spread of smoke in HVAC systems that are designed to be automatically shut down in the event of a fire, or open to control the movement of smoke within a building when the HVAC system is part of an engineered smoke control system as specified in NFPA 90A.
CVS-SAFE4 dampers are marked with respect to the Leakage Class at the elevated test temperature of 250°F or 350°F at minimum velocities of 2000 feet per minute at 4 in. w.g. of static pressure for the range of “3V” blade models and maximum velocities of 4000 feet per minute at 6 in. w.g. of static pressure for the range of “Airfoil” blade models.
